Is ESG an expensive luxury In the middle of a pandemic?
For the past two years, the increasing importance of ESG has been a dominant theme in Edelman’s Investor Trust Report – our annual international survey of leading institutional investors. But do investors really care about Environmental, Social and Governance in the middle of a global pandemic? Or has the focus shifted back to the bottom line?
This year, we conducted our survey just as the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic was taking hold around many parts of the world. Some fascinating findings have emerged.
On Wednesday 18th November, we brought together a dynamic panel of industry experts to debate our findings:
- Iain Dey, Head of Special Projects, Edelman and Former Business Editor of The Sunday Times (Panel moderator)
-
Stephen Bird, CEO, Standard Life Aberdeen
-
Jacqui Ferguson, Portfolio Non-Executive Director, Croda, Tesco Bank, Wood
-
Chuka Umunna, Head of ESG, Edelman
-
Jeremy Taylor, CEO, Lazard Asset Management (UK)
